Marketing & Revenue Generation Strategies and Tactics

Bringing more than a decade of experience from both the private and non-profit sectors to bv02, Sara has led or participated in numerous marketing communications initiatives. More specifically, her work in the areas of Market Identification, Product and Field Marketing, Customer Program Strategy Development, Branding, Direct Marketing Campaigns, Event Planning, and Advertising has proved invaluable when applied to her current specialization. An expert in Corporate Communications, Sara now specializes in providing integrated marketing strategies to businesses to help focus and execute their marketing and sponsorship investments, and to organizations and not-for-profits to help develop and execute additional revenue generation initiatives.

Sara's experience having worked with several other organizations including Entrust Technologies, NewSys Solutions, the Canadian Museum of Civilization Corporation, the Ottawa Rough Riders Football Club, and having taken part in Canada's United Nations Delegations to the World Summit on Social Development and the World Summit for Children has contributed to strengthening her expertise.

Most recently, successful engagements have been completed for a range of clients including Carleton University, ORBIS Canada, The Global Development Group, Farm Boy, The Library of Parliament, le Conseil des écoles publiques de l'Est de l'Ontario, Correctional Services Canada, the Tourism Industry Association of Canada and West End Sports; and in direct partnership with Ketchum Canada, the Aga Khan Foundation, the City of Ottawa, the University of Regina, Red Deer College, L’Opera du Montreal, The Children’s Village, La Nouvelle Scene, the Penewobecong Heritage Centre Consortium, The Great Canadian Theatre Company, The Telecommunications Hall of Fame, and Medecins Sans Frontieres.

Partnered with KCI, Sara is currently working with two outstanding cultural institutions, the National Gallery of Canada Foundation and The Rooms in Newfoundland, assessing their major naming opportunities and developing value proposition for their leadership donors. Furthermore, she was recently involved in a number of studies including the City of Clarence-Rockland, for their new community and recreation complex, the Penewobecong Heritage Centre of the City of Blind River in Northern Ontario and Nature Canada for their $30 million fundraising effort. She also provided strategic counsel to Nature Canada and the Orleans Arts Centre for their naming and partnership opportunities and communications strategy. In particular, she played a key role in campaign strategy development, campaign communications and negotiation of the lead gift and associated naming rights for the new Orleans Arts Centre to open in the Fall of 2009. For Nature Canada, she and bv02 Creative Director, Scott Fair led the creative direction of their new visual identity and provided strategic counsel and writing support for one of their new programs.

Sara has also provided strategic counsel to the Great Canadian Theatre Company on its $9.5 million campaign for the construction of their new Theatre. She developed their partnership and sponsorship strategy and accompanied the campaign team in their key cultivation and solicitation activities with their top donors and partners, helping to secure their lead gift.
Sara has developed the sponsorship and partnership program for La Nouvelle Scène and Doctors Without Borders. She also conducted a full review of the sponsorship program of the Canada’s Telecommunications Hall of Fame and the Tourism Association of Canada, assisting them in enhancing their program for the coming years.

As an active member of her community since 1990, she has served on various local boards and committees such as The Canadian Coalition for the Rights of Children, The Aga Khan Foundation, The Canada 125 Corporation, the Ottawa Boys and Girls Club and the Ottawa International Chamber Music Society.
