Ever wonder what Hogwarts would be like if Harry could use Facebook to let friends know about his Quidditch match next week, or some magical iPhone app to concur He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named?

Well take a look at this social media campaign being launched for part 1 and 2 of the final movie in the series – Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. Hogwarts finally hooks up the Internet.

“Life at Hogwarts is pretty old-fashioned. Candles and torches line the walls; servants cook the food and clean the sheets; students pack the library to read ancient, dust-covered books. Isn’t it time for the magical world to leap into the 21st century? Isn’t it time for Hogsmeade to install Wi-Fi? Isn’t it time for Hogwarts students to get online? With Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows just weeks away —  we imagined what would happen if laptops, smart phones, and social media came to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.”
