Jonathan McLeod

Proposal Writer

“Some day, all this will have to be developed, carefully printed, fixed.”

Christopher Isherwood

Jonathan likes words. He likes moving them, shaking them and flipping them on their heads. Playing with language is what he does.

He likes ideas and finding ways to communicate them clearly and thoroughly enjoys taking a concept that is foreign or misunderstood and making it relatable. Jonathan firmly believes that words connect us. Whether chatting over coffee, or sending an email cross country, words shape, signify and sustain relationships. Those are the connections Jonathan aims to make.

Having always been drawn to the world of writing and communication, it’s not just what he does; it’s what he’s supposed to do. After working in the Information Technology space for a while, Jonathan found his way into proposal writing and it was clear it was a role that just fit. In the years since, he’s worked with firms like CGI, Randstad and Eagle Professional Resources and has found himself to be a local staple in the writing community.

When he isn’t word-smithing his next piece of art, you might spot Jonathan biking through the Glebe with his two girls and wife or picking through the latest local market. Knee deep in Ottawa city life, Jonathan has a penchant for urban development and city regulation, taking direct interest in community advocacy. You can keep up with Jonathan and his musings on his personal blog, Steps From The Canal.
