Veronese
"A big thank you to you and your dedicated team for the excellent work on the Petrobelli Altarpiece site. It's a comprehensive and engaging product, with much deep, rich content organized in a clear and accessible manner. Another fine collaboration - thanks!"
Paolo Veronese was commissioned to create The Petrobelli Altarpiece which was completed in 1563. A Venetian art dealer later divided up, and sold the pieces individually for profit. For the first time since The Petrobelli Altarpiece was divided, its fragments have been reassembled and presented to the public by the National Art Gallery of Canada. bv02 created an interactive research portal to showcase the restoration, and to highlight the dramatic history behind The Petrobelli Altarpiece.
